Sh!te poll! They already do (most I know of) by providing free tables to play pool on all night on a Thursday, and food to players.

It's the pubs and clubs that let us play in them that make The league even if they only have one table.
And in these financial times we as a league should be helping them

SAPPA are proud to announce the 2010 US Open Qualifier will be taking place at Reardon's Central, Hope Street, Glasgow on Sunday 4th July - American Independence Day. Complete details will be announced in the coming days but here is what you need to know just now. Registration will be from 11am with play due to start at 11:30am. The event will be winner breaks and an open draw, Double Elimination to the last 16 followed by Single Elimination to find the winner. That player will then be entered into the 2010 US Open 9-Ball Championships taking place in Chesapeake, Virginia from 17 to 23 October 2010. Entry will be £25. In an attempt to increase interest in American Pool, we will also be allowing under 16s to enter for £5, under 18s for £10 and anyone over 18 who has not played in a SAPPA event before to play for £15. ( excluding any player registered with an existing tour or deemed by the committee to be a 'pro' player ) Please register your interest in this event at and payment details will follow. Can you include the town / city that you live in as we are trying to gauge where the majority of our players come from from. Thanks. |

22 names in this tournament already, suprisingly no new players.... I thought the reduced entry of £15 if you haven't played in a SAPPA event before might entice some of you 8-ballers to try it out? Should be a good day out as there hasn't been an event since the Black Bottle Edinburgh Open in April... You can see the full entry list here http://www.scotti....php?t=460 Thanks, |
